This is Carlisle Honest!

This was taken on our first attempt to photograph Carlisle. The area is noted for fog which comes in off the see. This was taken only from around 1000 feet and what you see is a carpet of fog moving inland with the mountains of the lake district behind appearing as islands in a sea. At the bottom of the shot is the M6 motorway which you can just make out through the fog. Immediately after taking this shot we skiddadled back to the airport sharpish before the fog covered it... you can't land a light aircraft through this. Visiting pilots take note and make sure you have enough fuel to divert.
