Helsby hill fort from above
aerial photographs of Helsby hill fort taken early in 2006. This is an Iron Age Hill Fort built using the natural defences of the cliff edge. I took these in winter where the low angle of the sun shows up the earth bank beautifully. I have more similar views of the hillfort from various angles.
