aerial photographs of Richborough Roman Fort
Site of the probable Roman landing in AD43 the site was occupied right up until the Romans abandoned Britain in the 4th century. The large foundation in the centre was a triumphal arch to mark entry to Britain and the conquest of the country. The images were taken with a Canon 1DSmkIII , 50mm f1.2L and 85mm f1.2L prime lenses.
