aerial photographs of Southport UK

Theoretically it is impossible to take an aerial photograph at night while bouncing round the sky in the helicopter. These images were done using a special Gyro stabilized camera mount which holds the camera still while the helicopter moves. The images are reduced for the web but the originals are high resolution and will enlarge to at least A3 or 18"x12" size. To give an idea of the detail here are 3 larger samples: Southport 1 , Southport 2 and Southport 3. The old archive images are on 645 negatives and are also good for at least A3 size. All the 2008 and 2009 images are done on the best camera for the job, the Canon 1DS mkIII and all images are done with top grade prime lenses which are much sharper than zoom lens images.
