Snowdon, looking North towards the Great Orme with the four and a half mile long, Snowdon Mountain Railway working its way up the mountain. Opened in 1896 the railway runs specially built steam trains up the rack and pinion track with gradients of up to 1 in 5 with some of the original locomotives still in service.This aerial photograph is also in my book, North Wales from the Air.
