Aerial photographs of Goathland

ref -no. Goathland 2101

This shot shows at the top left of the picture (under the bb of my name) is the Goathland Hotel which plays the "Aidesnfield Arms" in the TV program8see extract below). Oposite is the garage/funeral directors and then along the road to the right are the shop and the post office (see second extract). Note how well archeology shows in the winter sun, there are ridge and furrow field markings behind the house in the village centre. I have lots more photos of the village on my Goathland page, along with a shot labelled to show the different locations for the TV program. Its a great shame all the TV locations seem to face North as it dosn't make for good aerial photography especially in winter... unless your an archeologist! Below are some small extracts to show you whats on the full picture.
