Aerial photograph of the Historic Ships Museum , Birkenhead

Ships here include the frigate HMS Plymouth, the submarine HMS Onyx, the minehunter HMS Bronington , the Mersey Bar Lightship Planet and U534.

NB in 2006 the museum tragically closed. When I last flew over in Nov 2006 I was shocked to see the site was vacated and some of the ships were parked nearby ( see pic ) Hopefully a safe home will be found soon and I can photograph the ships in a new permanent home.
