Sitting on the edge of West Yorkshire half of Todmorden was once in Lancashire! Like so much of the area cotton was once king here but now tourism is the main industry. The name Todmorden is interesting - it translates into German as death murders ( Tod Morden) perhaps coincidence or is there a little bit of ancient anglo saxon history I don't yet know about.
