This image shows Museum street crossing the River Ouse. On the right hand edge is York Minster and the open space is the Botanical Gardens which are part of the Yorkshire Museum. The timbered building in the left of the park is the Hospitium a 14th Century guesthouse for St Mary's Abbey which can also be seen clearly in this shot. Just to the left of the Abbey is St Mary's Lodge which was built around 1470 . The Roman Multiangular tower should be in this image but is hidden from view by the trees,, though I have views from the other side that show it clearly. In the center of the park is the Yorkshire museum which was opened in 1830. They have a website which you can visit here.
