aerial photograph of Point West Cromwell Rd Kensington London UK SW7. Point West was originally built in the early 1960s as The Kensington Air Terminal. It was designed by Burnett, Tait & Partners and intended for air travellers to check in before being taken to Heathrow on coaches. It was built on top of a railway intersection known as the Cromwell Curve. The idea did not survive long before airport check in was moved to the more conventional solution of taking place at the airport. Today the building is a mixed use property known as Point West .
