aerial photograph of The College of Corpus Christi and the Blessed Virgin Mary, Cambridge England UK. Corpus Christi College was established in 1352 and still retains some of its medieval buildings such as the Old Court, built in 1356, on the left of the photo. This building was lucky to survive as the College was burned down during the Peasants' Revolt in 1381. During the Wars of the Roses of 1460 the College was armed with artillery and arrows for self defence. The college is connected to St Benet's Church by a gallery built in the 16th Century. The church is much older and the tower dates from the Saxon period. In the top centre of the image is a triangular garden, this is the Bursars garden which contains a Mulberry tree donated by James I.
