Grade I listed Chesterton Windmill was built in 1632 and is a one off design with only one similar Mill in Rhode Island USA built in a similar way. Also unusual is that the sails rotate counter clockwise whereas most windmills rotate clockwise. The mill was in regular use until 1910 and thereafter used occasionally for much of the 20th century. The mill was restored in 1971 and is now preserved and in the care of Warwickshire County Council.
