aerial photograph of Middleport Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Grade II listed Middleport Pottery was constructed by Burgess & Leigh Ltd in 1888. originally there were 7 Bottle Ovens at the Pottery but 6 were demolished in the 1970s. By the turn of the millennium the buildings were in poor condition and considered at risk, however in 2011 the Pottery was bought by Re-Form Heritage who set about restoring the site with guidance from Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. At the same time Denby Pottery continued to be manufactured on site. The pottery is now both a working pottery and a heritage attraction.
