aerial photograph of Picton CastlePembrokeshire, Wales. Grade I listed Picton Castle was originally built in the 13th century. The castle was attacked and captured by French troops supporting Welsh revolt led by Owain Glyndŵr. The castle was also attacked and captured by Parliamentarian forces during the English Civil war. Fortunatly it was not destroyed in the war and is now one of the areas major tourist attractions.
