aerial photograph of the Tuxedo Royale just before it sank. Originally launched as the TSS Dover in 1965 she was a RORO ( roll-on/roll-off ) ferry built on the River Tyne by Swan Hunter in Wallsend. She spent many years near her birth place as a floating nightclub, the Tuxedo Royale, before being moved to Middlesborough where she was left to decay. She was registered on the National Historic ships register in 2016, caught fire in 2017 and was scrapped in 2018.
