aerial photograph of archaeology in front of the The Royal Crescent Bath Somerset England UK. The Royal Crescent was constructed 1767 - 1774 in 2002 TV's Time Team did an archaeological dig on the lawns in front of the Royal Crescent, uncovering significant Roman remains including a lost section of the Fosse Way. The dry summer parch marks in this photograph shows a roadway crossing in front of the Royal Crescent. I am unclear on the alignment as to whether this is the Fosse Way that Time team found or another roadway of unknown date.
