aerial photograph of the shrunken Medieval village of Flecknoe Warwickshire England UK. Flecknoe was once the largest village in Wolfhampcote but has since shrunken to a fraction of its medieval size. The medieval remains are well preserved with various sunken trackways , enclosures and earthworks surviving. Archaeological investigations have revealed evidence of occupation in the Roman, Anglo Saxon, and medieval periods. The medieval ridge and furrow field patters show well in this image.
