The beach has been the site of a number of shipwrecks over the centuries including the Mary Ann in 1906, the Ben Brace in 1867, The Blessing in 1825 ( with the loss of all hands ) , The Linnet in 1825 and The Brothers also in 1825. In the centre of the photo is Castell Coch, Pen Morfa, a prehistoric Promontory Fort.
