aerial photograph showing the site of the former Broad Street railway station in London. Broad Street railway station was opened in 1865 as the terminus of the North London Railway ( NLR ) . The station closed in 1986 with services being diverted to Liverpool Street. Since then the site is being redeveloped with the Broadgate development in the top of the photograph being built on part of the site. In the foreground part of the station approach remains and several dissused tube trains have been mounted on it to serve as office space. On the bottom left of the photo are the remails of Bishopsgate railway station which served passengers from 1840 to 1875 and freight until 1964.
