Gladstone Pottery Museum is a working coal fired Pottery and is based on two potteries, the Gladstone Works and the Roslyn Works. The first pottery on the site opened in 1787 and made decorative pottery produced by Josiah Wedgwood in Etruria. The works remained in use until 1964 and were converted into a living museum in 1974.
