As well as being a scheduled ancient monument the site is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is owned by the National Trust. Although partially damaged by quarrying what remains of this 7 hectare fort are reasonably well preserved and also include a couple of Bowl Barrows. Medieval strip lynchets can be seen on the slopes of the hill.
