aerial photograph of the Ross Revenge, broadcasting ship used by Radio Caroline , taken in Tilbury Docks England UK. The vessel was built as a trawler in 1960 at Bremerhaven, and operated as Radio Caroline from 1983 to 1990. In 1991 she broke free of her anchors and ran aground on the Goodwin Sands. The ship was salvaged and brought back to the mainland, however it marked the end of her offshore broadcasts. Currently the ship is maintained by enthusiasts and is on National Register of Historic Vessels.
