In the top of the image is the Grade II listed Hawkshead Market Hall and Market Hall Cottage whihc was built in 1790 and enlarged 1887. In front of it is a traditional K6 telephone box which was designed 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott who also designed Battersea Power station and Liverpool Cathedral. The telephone box is also Grade II listed. In the centre foreground facing the Camera is the Co-Op which is also Grade II listed as is the building to the right which is the Kings Arms, a Public House dating from the 17th centruy.
