aerial photograph of the former Southampton Terminus Railway Station opened in 1840 by the the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) and closed in 1966. Also in the photo the rear of South Western House built in 1872 and Grade II listed. The building was formerly South Western Hotel and before that the Imperial Hotel. During the war it was known as HMS Shrapnel and hosted meetings between Winston Churchill and Dwight Eisenhower.
