aerial Photograph of The Opera House Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent UK The Grade II listed Opera House was opened in 1902 and designed by John Briggs. In 1931 the building was converted into a Cinema and then in in the 1960s it was used as a Bingo Hall. In 1996 the building was bought by the Wetherspoons Pub group who converted it into a pub. The conversion was done with sympathy to the original architecture and purpose and can still be used as an opera Theatre, something it does on regular occasions.
