aerial photograph of Fleetwood fishing boat wreck Lancashire, England UK. When Britain Joined the EU it created a problem of too many fishing boats chasing too few fish. The Governments solution was to pay the fishermen to destroy thier own fishing boats. Deacdes later the wrecks of the fishing boats still lie at Fleetwood Marshes on the banks of the River Wyre and form a monument to Fleetwoods fishing past which once saw more than 100 fishing boats using the port.
