Built in 1848 to carry the railway over the River Tonge the 86ft high viaduct has now been converted into a footpath with a £1.4 million refreshment including a covered roof. Local newspapers have named the viaduct the "sky walk". Also in the photo is Lever Bridge Mills built in 1891
